Twenty-five fields in a five-by-five grid. Five are yours to begin with; the rest are cleared with money. A berry goes in the ground, takes hours to grow, and is picked for more than went in.
Nothing needs you to be watching. A plant put in on a Friday evening is ready on Saturday whether or not you looked, and a garden left for a week is a week further on when you come back to it.

Water↑
Every plant starts full and loses 10% every 6h. A watering can puts 30% back, once every 30 minutes per field.
A plant with no water stops growing and gives less when it is finally picked. Left completely dry for 24h it is lost, and nothing can be picked from it at all. From full that takes about 84 hours, so it takes real neglect rather than one missed evening.
Mulch↑
One per field, laid before the seed and not after.
| Mulch | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Growth Mulch | ₽100 | Grows a fifth faster, and drinks a quarter more. |
| Damp Mulch | ₽100 | Holds its water, and takes a little longer. |
| Stable Mulch | ₽200 | A dry plant lasts twice as long before it is lost. |
| Gooey Mulch | ₽400 | The plant grows back by itself once after harvest. |
| Boost Mulch | ₽300 | Grows much faster, and dries out very quickly. |
| Rich Mulch | ₽250 | A quarter more berries at harvest. |
| Surprise Mulch | ₽500 | Half again as likely to produce a mutation. |
| Amaze Mulch | ₽1,200 | Rich, Surprise and Stable in one - and thirsty. |
Weeds and pests↑
Weeds turn up on about 8 plants in a hundred every 6h, and pests on about 5. Both slow a plant down and cost you berries at the end. Clearing them costs nothing but the visit.
A plant kept watered, weeded and free of pests the whole way through is perfectly grown: 20% more berries, and a better chance of something unusual.
Clearing more ground↑
Five fields are yours from the start. The other 20 are bought one at a time, and each costs ₽10,000 more than the one before — ₽50,000 for the sixth field, ₽240,000 for the last. Opening the whole garden costs ₽2,900,000, so it is something to build up over time rather than buy in one go.
| Field | Cost |
|---|---|
| 6 | ₽50,000 |
| 7 | ₽60,000 |
| 8 | ₽70,000 |
| 9 | ₽80,000 |

| 14 | ₽130,000 |
| 15 | ₽140,000 |
| 16 | ₽150,000 |
| 17 | ₽160,000 |
| 18 | ₽170,000 |
| 19 | ₽180,000 |
| 20 | ₽190,000 |
| 21 | ₽200,000 |
| 22 | ₽210,000 |
| 23 | ₽220,000 |
| 24 | ₽230,000 |

Crossing berries↑
Six berries cannot be bought at any price. They are grown, and only grown: plant the right two beside each other, tend them properly, and something else may come up between them when you pick.
You will know when you have set one up. A field where a crossing could happen is ringed in red with an i in its corner; hover it, or tap it on a phone, and it tells you how likely the crossing is when you harvest. It names the berry only once you have grown that one before — until then it will say that something could come of it, and leave you to find out what.
What they do first, because it is what makes them worth the trouble. Each one lowers one of a Pokemon's effort values by ten:
| Berry | Lowers |
|---|---|
| Pomeg Berry | HP |
| Kelpsy Berry | ATK |
| Qualot Berry | DEF |
| Hondew Berry | SPA |
| Grepa Berry | SPD |
| Tamato Berry | SPE |
The six recipes↑
Plant the two named berries side by side — any of the eight fields around one counts, corners included — and meet the conditions on both plants. The chance is rolled once, on the plant you pick, at the moment you pick it.
| Berry | Grown from | Conditions | Base chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pomeg Berry | Oran Berry + Pecha Berry | at least 75% grown, watered at least once | 12% |
| Kelpsy Berry | Cheri Berry + Oran Berry | at least 50% grown, moisture above 51 | 12% |
| Qualot Berry | Pecha Berry + Razz Berry | at least 75% grown, watered at least once | 10% |
| Hondew Berry | Chesto Berry + Bluk Berry | moisture above 61, no pests | 10% |
| Grepa Berry | Nanab Berry + Sitrus Berry | at least 75% grown, no weeds | 8% |
| Tamato Berry | Leppa Berry + Razz Berry | at least 50% grown, watered at least once | 8% |
| Liechi Berry | Cheri Berry + Figy Berry | at least 75% grown, watered at least once | 7% |
| Ganlon Berry | Chesto Berry + Wiki Berry | at least 75% grown, watered at least once | 7% |
| Salac Berry | Pecha Berry + Mago Berry | at least 75% grown, watered at least once | 7% |
| Petaya Berry | Rawst Berry + Aguav Berry | at least 75% grown, watered at least once | 7% |
| Apicot Berry | Aspear Berry + Iapapa Berry | at least 75% grown, watered at least once | 7% |
| Micle Berry | Persim Berry + Razz Berry | at least 75% grown, moisture above 51 | 6% |
| Custap Berry | Nanab Berry + Pinap Berry | at least 75% grown, no pests | 6% |
| Enigma Berry | Bluk Berry + Wepear Berry | at least 75% grown, no weeds | 6% |
| Jaboca Berry | Durin Berry + Belue Berry | at least 75% grown, watered at least once | 6% |
| Rowap Berry | Watmel Berry + Spelon Berry | at least 75% grown, watered at least once | 6% |
| Kee Berry | Pamtre Berry + Nomel Berry | at least 75% grown, moisture above 51 | 6% |
| Maranga Berry | Rabuta Berry + Cornn Berry | at least 75% grown, moisture above 51 | 6% |
| Lansat Berry | Sitrus Berry + Lum Berry | at least 100% grown, watered at least once, no weeds, no pests | 4% |
| Starf Berry | Liechi Berry + Salac Berry | at least 100% grown, watered at least once, no weeds, no pests | 3% |
Every condition applies to both plants, not just the one you harvest. The base chance is what you start from: Surprise Mulch multiplies it by 1.5, a perfectly tended plant adds 5 points, and weeds take 5 off. However it stacks it is capped at 30%.
Your own Berry Dex still fills itself in as you go, and the field tells you the exact odds it has worked out — the red ring and the i in the corner.
A crossing never costs you the ordinary crop, and it never happens more than once on one plant. However carefully you set it up it stays uncommon - the best odds anyone can reach are 30%.
